Public Relations was instrumental in promoting TMLP and its services to its customers and beyond, through written communication and with its online presence in 2013. The department created a number of press releases and newsletters in 2013 which contained important information about TMLP services, key updates, energy conservation tips and usage alerts for TMLP customers. News information pertaining to public power week, the addition of the 3 MW solar farm - the largest in TMLP's history, and site visits to the Cleary Flood station were distributed to area media outlets.
Through the department, and independently, TMLP staff continued to give back to the communities by volunteering time and resources to community and civic organizations, participating in fundraising events and activities, and supporting community events by hanging promotional banners and/or holiday lights for eight organizations, and lighting local fields.
TMLP played an active role as a business partner with the Leddy School in Taunton. TMLP staff participated in the school-wide Safety Night and conducted a safety program for first grade students. In addition, TMLP sponsored an open house for its customers.
