The Bernard F. Cleary-Flood Generation Station is located off Route 138 on the southern outskirts of Taunton. The station is an important part of TMLP’s power portfolio and protects the ratepayers from price spikes in the market.
The Cleary-Flood Generation Station consists of Unit 9 and a battery energy storage system. Unit 9 is a combined-cycle power plant which has the fuel capability of natural gas and oil. The unit has a generation capacity of 105 MW. Unit 9 is registered in the ISO-NE energy, ICAP and black start markets.
The battery energy storage system contains 3 megawatt/6 megawatt-hour of lithium-ion battery capacity.
