Introduction
Ratepayers who receive their electricity from a municipally owned public power utility like Taunton Municipal Lighting Plant have the best of both worlds: home-grown grassroot fundamentals of integrity and customer-first philosophy coupled with progressive, forward-thinking staff and policies. Public power utilities have earned a reputation of being on the cutting edge and being responsive to its customer-owners.
The electric utility industry is evolving before our eyes, and TMLP is too. We're meeting today's challenges head-on by relying on our charter for guidance, reflecting on our past with an eye to the future. The initiatives of the past have become the projects of the present and the innovations of the future.
